Gaining leadership strength from a diverse career across the industry spectrum, James has moved between start-up and corporate leadership roles. He has consulted for Accenture, built an R&D facility and built profitable CRM/ERP sales unit for Microsoft, been the custodian of the product roadmap for online accounting giant Xero and delivered an industry changing platform as CTO for SafetyCulture.

The variety of challenges James has navigated allows him to bring valuable lessons-learned that help teams move fast and deliver great results. What unites James's experiences is a love for software and product development, and a drive to have a meaningful impact wherever he works.

James values accountability, determination and a sense of humour, and strives to develop productive workplaces that are fuelled by laughter. After more than three decades in the sector, he still finds technology exciting and brings this enthusiasm to create delivery focussed teams. Now with OWNSTABLE, he is leading a team to build a platform that will revolutionise the thoroughbred racing industry.
